Congratulations to one of the reasons I love my hometown.

I love this town.
Birthday parade parties. What a concept.
The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade is quite the event. 30k people show up in a town of 90-100k.
Anyone can have an entry in the parade. It is a local tradition for many that if you have a birthday on March 17th, you have a float. I love this!
We saw birthday entries celebrating ages from 5th to 90th birthdays today. Love this town.

Lawrence Public Library’s Read Across Lawrence free book. Waiting for the Science of Science Fiction lecture by professors James Gunn and Chris McKitterick and experimental particle physicist Philip Baringer. So excited!
We’re so proud to have been named a Landmark Library by libraryjournal! Thanks to our community for supporting the library. We do everything for you, and we couldn’t do it without you. Lawrence truly is an amazing place to live!
Reason # 17 I love my hometown.

I would love to do this some day.
But you need to include Lawrence, KS! The Dusty Bookshelf and The Raven, two wonderful independent bookstores, are around the corner from each other in downtown. One of many reasons I adore my town.
