There’s no such thing as too many books just too few bookshelves, right?
You know all those stories about Worldcons? The ones that sound too good to be true? They *are* true. I have found my tribe.
As day two draws to a close here are some of the highlights of Worldcon for me so far:
We volunteered and ended up manning the Information booth for many hours. Worldcon trial by fire LOL. I am now less of a neophyte.
Met Pat Cadigan (and got a hug!), Foz Meadows, David Gerrold, Mike Resnick, James Gunn, Connie Willis, Robert Silverberg, Joe Haldeman, Larry Niven, Cat Rambo, Chuck Gannon, Thomas Gondolfi, Rob Howell, Paul & Storm, Alex Shvartsman, Eric Flint, Mary Anne Mohanraj, Randal Spangler, and more I’m certain I’ve left out.
Attended a Paul & Storm concert which was fabulous.
Attended the Retro Hugo Awards and watched A. E. Van Vogt’s granddaughter accept the Best Novel award.
Met hundreds of random people who love science fiction.
My t-shirt received many smiles, laughs, and comments and made writers I admire laugh.
Time to rest and see what Day 3 brings.
My heart is full of joy.
#Worldcon MidAmeriCon is nirvana for book lovers.
